New partners joining the network in 2021
On 2 September 2021, Fontys University of Applied Sciences was proud to welcome 5 new partners to its growing partner network. In addition, the partnership with no fewer than 29 existing partners was extended for 4 years. The network of companies connected to Fontys University of Applied Sciences in this way makes it possible to offer education in which the professional field cooperates directly and contributes to the training of future ICT talent.
Diverse group of partners
To celebrate this happy event, various partners were present at the Fontys Campus to symbolically confirm the collaboration by signing. Interim director Frens Vonken was present to welcome the partners with a word of thanks. During the afternoon, we saw a diversity of business partners who now work with Fontys.
With backgrounds in IT infrastructure, software development, security, the ICT sector is broadly represented, but a number of partners also work in other fields. This mix of companies allows us to offer students a broad and realistic preview of the professional practice during their studies. Newly joined are Dinner in Motion, ACA-IT, REDviewBI, Bas Trucks and Dela as Partners in Education (PiE). Partners in Education enter into a cooperation agreement for semesters 1 to 4, and participate in both the course-based, demand-based and open learning programme. These collaborations often run for years and the network grows continuously.
Changes and innovations are happening at an accelerating pace, especially in the ICT sector. Thanks to the direct connection to practice that our partner network embodies, it is possible to tailor education to current and upcoming needs. In a reciprocal relationship, we strive to bring students to the market with good qualifications and direct experience at and through our partners.
For our PIE team in Eindhoven this was our first live signing. Want to know more about the cooperation with our Partners in Education? Please contact Carli Kleijnen or Niek Schmitz, our partner coordinators in Eindhoven or Dick Philippi, partner coordinator in Tilburg.
