Welcome to Team Zeden & Team Bestrijding Kinderporno en Kindersekstoerisme (TBKK), part of the Thematic Investigation of the Regional Criminal Investigation Department of the Rotterdam Unit.

Sex crimes involve the violation of physical sexual integrity and intimacy. These are often dramatic events for both the victim and his or her environment.

Such crimes often evoke strong emotions among those involved and in society. Working in vice cases requires specific competencies and certification in addition to the generic investigative competencies.

Besides the classic vice cases such as rape, sexual assault and child sexual abuse, new digital sex offenses have emerged. The proportion of these is increasing rapidly. These are punishable offenses such as sexual harassment (extortion, extortion by means of nude photographs or videos).

The suspects consider themselves anonymous on the World Wide Web using false names and fake accounts.

Team Digital of the vice department and TBKK is committed to finding these suspects and rescuing children from abusive situations.

Digital Platform

Team Vice and TBKK have their own digital platform, whose digital investigators conduct all digital investigations of Team Vice and TBKK themselves.

We are responsible for all digital evidence. We secure and analyze all digital data carriers. We also conduct online investigations to identify suspects and gather evidence, among other things.

Besides the regular investigation work, we are constantly looking for new things to innovate in our work. To do so, we follow training courses, but we also go to all kinds of trade fairs and conferences to increase our knowledge and to discover new things to use during investigations. If necessary, we make it ourselves!
